Nicole Niehaus is a Bainbridge Island author, business owner, and mother of three beautiful souls, one who continues to inspire her every day. She holds a degree in Elementary Education and has always dreamed of writing a children’s book.

Many years ago, Nicole had a vivid dream that she had written a book called Do Elephants Dream in Color? At the time, she had no idea what the story would be about. Years later, following the passing of her son, Jack, the story came to her, inspiring a book that celebrates love, hope, imagination, and the enduring connections we share with those we love.

Nicole wrote Do Elephants Dream in Color? with the hope that it will spark meaningful conversations, encourage wonder, and bring comfort to children and families alike. She is honored to share Jack’s legacy through this story and is delighted to be reading it at Bainbridge Play Cafe.
