Bainbridge Play Cafe’s Clothing Swap Fundraiser
Thank you for coming to our clothing swap fundraiser last weekend! We had a great turnout, and it was so cool to see people walking through the future cafe space. 🥹 It’s been empty for months since signing the lease, and I’m often the only one there, so it was a bit surreal seeing it come alive for a weekend. 🐙 ✨
We received a ton of donations last Saturday! So much so that we didn’t have enough time to sort through all of the boxes and bags before Sunday, so we had to create an overflow room for all of the extras. It’s safe to say we will definitely be hosting more clothing swaps in the future! There’s such a need for kids’ clothing, and it made me so happy knowing that everything was heading home to be loved again by new families.
I’m also happy to report that the leftover clothing was picked up by teachers in the area to be used as backup clothing for kiddos in our schools, and the remainder is being sent to a family shelter in the Spokane area. (Thank you, Lisa at KiDiMu, for offering to drop it all off there!)
