Experienced Baristas (Full + Part-Time)
Pay: $20/hour to start + tips
About the Role: Bainbridge Play Cafe is looking for experienced, warm, and reliable baristas to help bring our cafe to life. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in crafting quality beverages, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about creating a welcoming space for all of our guests (and their little ones). Please note we are not currently open, but we are expecting to open our doors in April, so you will likely start a week or two before opening for training, etc.
Responsibilities:
Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages
Maintain drink quality, speed, and consistency
Engage with guests in a friendly, confident, and professional manner
Keep the coffee bar and cafe areas clean, stocked, and organized
Execute opening/closing duties thoroughly with attention to detail
Qualifications:
1+ year of barista experience required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Comfortable working in a family-oriented environment
Reliable, punctual, and team-focused
Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy rushes

Receptionists/Play Cafe Hosts
Pay: $21/hour to start
About the Role: Bainbridge Play Cafe is looking for a warm, friendly, tech-savvy Play Cafe Host to be the welcoming face of our family-focused play space and cafe. This person sets the tone for every visit - greeting families, checking in reservations, explaining memberships, processing retail purchases, and keeping the play space running smoothly.
If you love engaging with young children, helping (sometimes overwhelmed!) parents feel at ease, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Front Desk
Warmly greet families and create a welcoming atmosphere
Check in play reservations and walk-ins
Explain memberships, packages, and policies clearly and confidently
Process payments (play sessions, retail, grab-and-go food purchases)
Answer phone calls, texts, and basic customer inquiries
Play Space Oversight
Monitor the play area to ensure safety and smooth flow
Engage positively with children and redirect behavior when needed
Keep the space tidy throughout shifts
Sanitize toys and surfaces regularly
Reset and refresh the space between sessions
Retail & Cafe Support
Ring up retail purchases
Maintain clean and organized retail displays
Restock items as needed
Ideal Candidate:
Naturally friendly and approachable
Comfortable engaging with young children
Calm and confident with stressed or flustered parents
Tech-savvy (comfortable with POS systems, online bookings, memberships)
Previous host, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
Able to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
Reliable and punctual
